D.C. Shadow Sen. Paul Strauss was arrested for allegedly driving drunk, spurring the District’s Republican Party chairman to call for his resignation.If he can't obey the obvious laws, what makes you think that he will obey any of the laws that protect the citizens of DC?
Oh, he never did to begin with? Weird.
I guess if you're too irresponsible to drive sober then you certainly can't trust yourself to handle such personal responsibility as owning a firearm, and you can't trust any mere citizen either. It's telling that it takes something like this to give him the boot, instead of, you know, being incompetent and corrupt.
