I'm leaning towards the Glock 19 for my new foray into AIWB, and I've been catching up on the differences between the 3rd and 4th generation models that Glock has come out with. I'm getting mixed results, with a large number of problems being reported from the 4th generation. Someone on

That was really funny!
and somehow true to life.
"we don't understand how springs affect felt recoil" .. "we don't understand why a quality trigger pull is important" ROFL
I'm sticking with my Gen 3s.

Wow! Hadn't realized there was a Gen4 backlash... but then again, I'm not a Glockophile.

Me too. I think that in a year or so I'll pick up a 3rd gen G19 because I think it's the perfect size for CCW, but until then the G17 is serving fine.
Andy, if you try to google "4th gen Glock" you'll see page after page of people home gunsmithing their Glocks, when it's Glock that should be forthcoming with information on what the problem is. Youtube is filled with videos of eratic ejection and stoppages, and so far nothing but silence from Glock. That's what they get for changing a tried and true design.
Well, they had to do something. The Glocks were becoming dated and the XD(m)s and M&Ps have better features and are just as reliable. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have done a good job.
Oh man I wish there was a M&P sized just like the Glock 19. They would sell faster than S&W could make them.
