Ammo restrictions

I never thought of it this way.

Tam:

"So by saying you're in favor of magazines that hold no more than X rounds, you're publicly stating that it's only X+1 bodies that bother you. If that's not what you mean to say, then come out and state your real intentions."
Yikes! No matter how anyone tries to answer that challenge, it's not going to end well for them!

Quote of the Day

"The notion of anyone "deeming" anything "passed" without going through the actual voting process of real passage is the kind of governance seen in Saddam Hussein's Iraq or Bashar Assad's Syria or Castro's Cuba. "
Who could ever imagine we would see something like this in our time? I know that the Constitution has been pretty much ignored in one way or another for almost a century, or longer, but this is just insane.

Regardless, it's still funny

"This passage was a metaphor meant to describe how American troops felt about our 43rd president," Feherty said in a statement. "In retrospect, it was inappropriate and unacceptable, and has clearly insulted Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid, . . ."
Both of which have clearly insulted the troops more times than I care to count.

Was his comment inappropriate?

Perhaps, but that doesn't change the fact that his comment was pretty accurate, if not hilarious.

It's Monday and I needed the laugh

At View From The Porch:
You do realize that FOX is the one with American Idol and 24, and FOX News is the one with Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, right? And that they are not the same channel? No, you obviously don't, because you are dumber than an acre of fungus.
Now that's funny!

God bless the Marine Corps

Excellent piece on two Marines at a remote outpost in Afghanistan from the New York Times, of all places. Best line:
“You don’t need Obama here,” he said. “I bought the cow.”
He seems to enjoy getting shot at.

On the liberal love affair with Che

I don't understand the love affair either. Greg Gutfield of The Daily Gut has a piece in Fox News this morning that should start your day out with a chuckle. A taste:
"According The Washington Times, after a screening of the film, Benicio granted an interview to the film press — who are usually a mass of celebrity ass-kissers wrapped in a cocoon of anti-Americanism."
Just like fresh air.

Read the whole thing.

My thoughts exactly

"The truth is, unless you vote for a third-party candidate (which really isn't a bad idea), you don't have much of a choice this November. You can either endorse the idea of a massive, invasive, ever-encroaching federal government that's used to promote center-left ideology, or you can endorse the idea of a massive, invasive, ever-encroaching federal government that's used to promote center-right ideology."
From Radley Balko's Fox News column Why the Republicans must be defeated this year.

Great Quotes

From the Mighty and Egregious Charles via GeekWithA.45:
One of the problems with the Supreme Court's role in enforcing constitutional boundaries that they are a panel of firefighters nominated by a pyromaniac and approved by an arsonist's convention.

Good stuff!

Great Quotes II

From Sharp as a Marble in response to Senator Obama's absurd comment:
I'm in a bitter mood. I'm going to go hump my gun while I read Leviticus. I'm tired of getting hoodwinked.

That's funny!

Great Quotes

This one from The Agitator which I read every day, in regards to reasons to legalize drugs:
When was the last time you heard of a Michelob transaction gone wrong?
Yes, black markets are generally violent. Prohibition was notoriously so. Read the rest.
