The venerable .22 Long Rifle

Still seems to catch the appreciation of shooters everywhere. After shooting that very same rifle, I was sold hook, line, and sinker on the Ruger 10/22, and it wasn't long after I was the proud owner of one.

Here's to hoping the good ol' .22 rimfire rounds will be setting the stage for good shooting for centuries to come!

In that very same field, no less. We should see about setting aside some time in Jan. for a morning of shooting. One of the guys that hunts on that property has a 6.5 AR. He'd like to talk to you.

Have you ever shot a .22 Lever action? THAT is where all us old farts got started...

Andy - I'm game for January, or any time for that matter. I haven't had a range day in quite awhile.

NFO - I'm not very practiced with lever guns, but I cut my teeth on an old Marlin Glenfield 25 bolt action that my mom bought off some guy at the beach for $20 in the early 80s. Served me well!

haha hell yeah! my first gun was a marlin glenfield model 10 that my grandfather gave me as my 10th birthday present. no scope just iron sights. man did not want me to learn how to cheat! single shot bolt action, thing is priceless to me. i will definitely pass it on one day. the room gets a little dusty when i clean it thinking about the old man.
