I've been having fun experimenting with a few different kinds of ammo they currently have on sale on The Sportsman's Guide. It's been great, its mostly military grade stuff and I was able to get a lot at once and save a bundle. I think my favorite of them all is the Wolf .223 cal. 55 - gr. FMJ. It releases from my Remington like a dream and you can't beat the price, it's like $50 bucks for over 200 rounds. I got a case of M855 Ammo with Ammo Can too just to check it out and it was a little more expensive but definitely worth it. The ammo is good, cheap, and I liked the free can it came with.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540162652707616108.post-55283055434637426812011-06-28T09:22:59.914-04:002011-06-28T09:22:59.914-04:00Are they +Ps? I'm going to check those out.

Andy, keep those rounds stashed away. You never know when you might get a smokin deal on a .40 caliber pistol.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02544360303504618447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540162652707616108.post-52442724197843633432011-06-28T02:46:30.236-04:002011-06-28T02:46:30.236-04:00Huh. He thinks highly of those rounds, and is one of the driving reasons why he has been bugging me about changing loads. I've been using 124 grain +P Black Hills in my 9mms for several years now which use a Hornady XTP bullet. I hear the XTP works fairly well, and I get an honest 1,200 fps out of my Glock 26 with them, but I've loaned that gun to a brother, and he will probably function test the HSTs in it for me. If they run good then I'll change to those.

FYI, the HSTs in 9mm, .40 S&W, and 45 have made the infamous AR15.com list - http://ammo.ar15.com/project/Self_Defense_Ammo_FAQ/index.htm#.40 S&WAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02544360303504618447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540162652707616108.post-50540852579105663802011-06-27T13:38:06.589-04:002011-06-27T13:38:06.589-04:00i'd like to see what you think of 9mm Federal ...i'd like to see what you think of 9mm Federal LE Tactical HST 124gr. HP Ammo. i'm shooting them through my springfield xdm 9mm and i like the way they expand and stay together. bout 100+ rounds through with them and no problems yet.Drewnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540162652707616108.post-64112261942501238922011-06-27T13:38:00.804-04:002011-06-27T13:38:00.804-04:00Ah... the range. I've got about 150 rounds of .40 that I got for cheap... and don't shoot because they jam constantly.Broken Andyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01562569871940946226noreply@blogger.com
